The problem isn't always a lack of candidates. Sometimes it's too many.

The volume of applications companies can receive for some roles has changed significantly.

It wasn't that long ago that receiving 100 applications for a vacancy felt like a lot. Now, some roles are attracting 100+ applications within hours, with application numbers sometimes reaching 400 - 500.

That's created a different challenge for hiring teams.

It's not necessarily about attracting more candidates. It's about having the time to properly review and assess the applications you've already received.

When you're already juggling your day job, reviewing hundreds of CVs properly is a significant task. And when time is tight, potentially strong candidates can easily get lost in the volume.

That's why I've introduced my CV Review & Shortlist service.

I can support at two levels:

1. Application Review

I review the applications against the agreed criteria and provide a longlist of candidates whose skills and experience align with your requirements.

2. Application Review & Shortlist

I review the applications, speak with the longlisted candidates to understand their experience, drivers, interest and alignment with the role, then provide a shortlist with notes for the hiring team to consider.

The service is priced according to the number of CVs needing review, so it can be tailored to the size of the recruitment exercise.

You may already have the candidates. You may just need someone to help you identify the strongest matches within the applications you've received.

If you're recruiting at the moment and facing a high volume of applications for a role, I'd be happy to talk through how I could help.
