Fractional Recruitment

What is it?

Depending on the size of your business and your recruitment needs, employing a full-time recruiter isn't always practical or cost-effective. Existing staff may also lack the time or specialist expertise to manage recruitment alongside their day-to-day responsibilities.

Fractional recruitment offers a flexible alternative. I work as an extension of your team, providing recruitment support for an agreed amount of time and working directly with your hiring managers. Whether you need help managing the entire recruitment process or support with specific activities, the arrangement is tailored to your business and can be ongoing or on demand.

I recruit across a range of business functions and seniority levels, including finance, compliance, risk, legal, HR, business management and sales.

How does it work?

We start by discussing your recruitment needs, the support you require and what you want to achieve. Together, we agree the scope, timescale, budget and most suitable way of working.

An initial conversation is free and comes with no obligation.

Choose how you pay

Fixed weekly or monthly fee

  • Best suited to businesses that want predictable costs and regular support.

  • Pay an agreed weekly or monthly fee for a set amount of recruitment support, giving you dedicated time to focus on your hiring priorities.

Hourly

  • Best suited to businesses with variable recruitment demands or those wanting to try fractional recruitment without an ongoing commitment.

  • Pay for the hours worked at an agreed rate. Before starting, we agree the initial hours required, then connect each week to review priorities and plan the following week's hours. The hours can be adjusted up or down as needed, and the arrangement can be paused when required.

Fixed-fee recruitment projects

  • Best suited to a defined recruitment project with a clear scope and end point.

  • We agree the scope, deliverables, timescale and fee upfront, so you know exactly what is included and what it will cost

The benefits

Control over cost. Access experienced recruitment expertise without employing a full-time recruiter. You pay an agreed fee for the support you need, without the ongoing salary and benefits costs associated with a permanent employee.

Flexibility to suit your needs. Recruitment demands change. You might need regular support, additional capacity during a busy period or help with a specific task. The level of support can be adjusted to suit your workload.

A proactive approach to finding talent. With over 20 years of recruitment experience, I proactively identify and engage relevant candidates. My focus is on finding people whose skills, experience and motivations align with your requirements.

How I can help

You decide where you need support. I can manage the full recruitment cycle or take responsibility for individual activities, depending on your requirements.

  • Job descriptions. Writing or refining job descriptions to clearly communicate the role, responsibilities and skills required.

  • Candidate sourcing and headhunting. Mapping the market, identifying relevant talent, building candidate pipelines and proactively approaching prospective candidates.

  • Candidate assessment and shortlisting. Reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, assessing skills and suitability, and using scorecards to support consistent, informed hiring decisions.

  • Interview scheduling and coordination. Coordinating interviews, keeping candidates informed and maintaining recruitment activity in your applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Offers and candidate aftercare. Managing offers and negotiations, maintaining contact through resignation and notice periods, and checking in with candidates before and after they start.

  • Recruitment projects. Developing recruitment processes, documentation, training materials and best-practice guidance to help your business recruit more effectively.
